for your customers:

  • The customer is directed to your website if they want to return a product.
  • They click on the link to our embedded Customer Portal on your site, which is our Customer Portal made to look and feel like your brand.
  • The customer enters their information, what they want to return, the reason and can even attach an image of the product.
  • If the customer is pre-approved for free return shipping, they can print a label from their device or computer to ship their return back to us.  If you don't offer free returns, they will be directed to a site to purchase and print a shipping label.
  • All shipment tracking is automatically uploaded to our site for monitoring.
  • The customer prints off the return info with barcode and puts it into the return. This also includes instructions on how to package their return to reduce waste.
  • The final step for the customer is that they drop off the package at a local postal center to be sent to The Returns Lab.

for your brand:

  • Your team has full access anytime to our system to monitor and review returns.
  • For any status changes for a return, we can notify your team automatically via email.
  • Once a return arrives at our facility, it is processed within 48-hours upon arrival.
  • If a return requires inspection for credit or refund, the return is flagged for your attention.
  • The Returns Lab team follows your specific product return process start to finish and your team is notified of any changes along the way.
  • Once the return is completed, it is closed out in our system.  Your team can see real-time what is going on throughout the process, as can your customers.  This keeps everyone efficient and your brand maintains profitability.
  • If you need Back-To-Front service, where you need to re-ship returned products back out to customers, we can take of that task, as well.
